U.S. Warns of More Al-Qaeda attacks

“New attacks by al-Qaeda are likely and there is a danger the
network of Osama bin Laden and its Taliban backers will re-emerge in
Afghanistan, the US State Department said.”
Wait, didn’t they say attacking Iraq would significantly reduce
terrorism? But just after the fighting has died down there’s a
possibility of more attacks? Will people even notice the inconsistency
in this?
