A Question!
Published by Jeff, January 27th, 2006 in TechWhy is Firefox’s built-in download manager so damn slow? I don’t mean downloading speeds, I mean opening and closing the actual manager.
I don’t really need a full-featured download manager, so I’ve been using it instead of FlashGot and LeechGet (for example). I’ve decided that was a silly thing to do.
I’ve never noticed any sluggishness. But I really never use the built-in DM for download. I’ve got Flashgot pointing to wget (or Wackget, here at work).
Maybe it’s just my computer. Whenever it opens or closes my computer hangs for a couple seconds. It’s very annoying.
Mine does the same. No clue.
