This is also funny
Published by Jeff, March 30th, 2006 in Religion, SillinessThis article about Pensacola Christian College is disturbing. It’s like Liberty Bob Jones, but worse. I find this rule particularly silly:
Even couples who are not talking or touching can be reprimanded. Sabrina Poirier, a student at Pensacola who withdrew in 1997, was disciplined for what is known on the campus as “optical intercourse” — staring too intently into the eyes of a member of the opposite sex. This is also referred to as “making eye babies.” While the rule does not appear in written form, most students interviewed for this article were familiar with the concept.
There’s really no way to make fun of the idea of “making eye babies.” It’s just too absurd.

The college is just part of their empire, they have a k-12 school co-located and, most importantly, they own Abeka Publishing which produces most of the curricula and books used by Christian homeschoolers.
There was a hell of a fight when the Florida Department of Revenue said that they owed sales taxes on their book sales because it was a commercial business and not part of their religious exemption.
They get some pretty hefty tuition and fees, so they are making money hand over fist: employees are supposed to be working for the love of God, because they are not going to make decent money.
I am a senior at the Academy right next door, and I can tell you right now, that most of the rumors spread about PCC are totally false. They are strict, but take it or leave it..no one is forcing you to go there.
“They get some pretty hefty tuition fees”..haha.. PCC is 5,000 a year room and board which is extremely affordable, and PCA (the Academy) is the cheapest private school in Pensacola. The tuition rates bring in very little money. Do some research next time!
