Time for a new computer
Published by Jeff, May 24th, 2006 in TechMy laptop is horribly outdated, so I need something new. And since I have a job, it can be somewhat expensive. As much as I like building computers, I really don’t feel like it. So I’ve been looking at built systems. I don’t trust most of what you’d buy at, say, Best Buy, though. I’ve mostly been looking at Alienware. Dell isn’t bad, but I’d rather not. I don’t really know what else is out there, honestly. I tend to get out of date unless I’m looking at buying something. Any suggestions?
IBM ThinkPad, accept no substitutes! The X60 is pretty tasty.
They’re made by Lenovo now but by all accounts are the same quality as the old ThinkPads, which were legendary for their build quality and design.
I should have pointed out that I’m getting a desktop, not a laptop this time.
