Bashing bad comedians

Why does anyone think Carlos Mencia is funny? All he does is spout off racial slurs, not even jokes, just racial slurs for a half-hour. It’s not that I find it offensive, it’s just mind-numbingly stupid. Maybe it would have been controversial when I was in Elementary School, when I heard it all the first time. Just standing there saying “Spick” and “Beaner” and “Black guys are differnet than White Guys” isn’t comedy. And he always has to don that stupid “Oh no I did’t!” expression after every “joke”, which only makes me more angry. He is NOT the Mexican Dave Chapelle, he’s just a one-trick pony with a limited vocabulary.
Exactly.
Mencia is part of a larger theory that I have. What people really hate about liberalism is that they might just have to behave themselves, i.e. say something nice about somebody else. Mencia is just saying what they’re dying to say.
My theory takes some time to explain and that’s just a thumbnail. Long story short - people still like stereotypes and they really, really want to use them. Mencia taps intot hat.
But you are right he is a one trick pony.
i find that the only thing which is as annoying as carlos mencia are his leigions of fans. not that i am against them enjoying him, but more for their annoying habit of yelling ‘dee-dee-dee’ every time the smallest event catches their attention.
