It’s mostly hogwash, and people are right to ignore it. Don’t want to give these guys any more credit than they deserve.

That site lists a bunch of victims lists cobbled together from press reports and some official sources, as those sources were attempted to get confirmation (and of course hinging on the families who didn’t want their loved ones names released). You have confusion, not conspiracy. None of them are from actual passenger manifests. The report that claims to have the official manifest, the Globe report, has the hijackers and their seats. Restatement of your original point is not an argument.

Continuing on, your next point is answered here. Also, just think about what you said. Why would the government not include them? They could easily just have put the names on their, nipping this argument in the bud, in the service of maintaining the cover up. They didn’t, and their absence is completely explainable.

The claim that the hijackers are still alive is easily explained by name confusion.

I chose the manifest issue because it’s not that complicated. We have manifests and they have the hijackers on them. It’s a claim you made. If you don’t think it’s important, why include it?

We can talk about something more important, if you want. How about the collapse of the towers? You say:

First, the towers did not fall at free fall velocity. This is easily shown by pictures like this, where debris forced out the sides of the tower is clearly below the building level it came from (notice the arcing dust plumes tracing the path). Calculating the actual fall velocity is made difficult by the fact that there’s a cloud of smoke obscuring when the tower hit the ground.

Second, if you’ve taken any physics classes, you know that it’s often very counter-intuitive. Our perceptions were shaped for every day occurrences, not spectacular events. The falling velocity should not decrease as the towers fall. Yes, they shed energy, but they gained energy as gravitational potential energy is converted to kinetic energy. The more mass the falling floors build up, the more velocity will be conserved as those floors bust through each successive floor (that’s the law of conservation of momentum). So, you have acceleration due to gravity and less and less velocity being lost due to the impacts with lower floors as the towers fall. That’s a recipe for acceleration, which the towers did.

There are some things that I didn’t even mention (and neither does that half-assed “debunking” site, for obvious reasons). For one, Bush not being whisked away by the Secret Service immediately from Booker Elementary after being told of the second crash, meaning he and his Secret Service chief had to have known Bush was not even a possible target on 9/11 for him to be allowed to linger in that vulnerable location for over 35 minutes after being told the news (and even have a press conference there!). No, sir, what is “completely baseless” is the ridiculous “official” myth that defies the laws of probability, forcing you to “believe” in a huge pile of astronomical “coincidences”, as well as “collapses” that without accounting for demolitions defy the laws of physics, not to mention the impossible cell phone calls from 35,000 feet in the air, the magic “indestructable” passport, et cetera, et cetera….

I’ve seen all the claims you made before. I actually believed them for quite a while. I believe I saw an article with the sort of satirical mocking of the consensus view in your comment a couple years ago. Then I looked up more information, sought out other opinions, and discovered that what you’re advocating is completely baseless. Not that that should have any effect on your opinion, but you can knock off the crap about me wanting to believe otherwise.

I should note, critical thinking is not calling something bullshit after a quick glance because it doesn’t fit your current opinion. It’s also not attempting to bully those who disagree with you with condescension. That’s a pretty lame and transparent debate tactic.

Let’s test your critical thinking skills. You say “not even ONE got his name on any of the flight manifests.” Now, go read this, noting especially the Boston Globe story where they specifically state what seats, according to the manifests, the hijackers were sitting in. Come back and make an argument that your statement is still correct (that’s an argument, not insults) or retract it.
