Spammers for Ron Paul
Published by Jeff, November 1st, 2007 in 2008 elections, SillinessThe preferred candidate of the most annoying group of people on the planet? Ron Paul. Judge accordingly.
This moves my description of Ron Paul from “neo-confederate racist who doesn’t believe in the separation of church and state and would dismantle the federal government” to “neo-confederate racist who doesn’t believe in the separation of church and state, would dismantle the federal government, and is loved by spammers.”
Actually, this makes sense. The people that buy those stocks and fake viagra pills advertised in spam emails are just about stupid enough to vote for Paul.
And don’t give me any crap about this being the work of those trying to embarrass the Paul campaign. It’s like someone trying to embarrass Mike Gravel. No one cares enough and he’s plenty embarrassing already.

Its probably just someone trying to embarrass Ron Paul. Maybe the Clinton campaign.
What’s embarrassing about Mike Gravel? Genuine question. I’ve not been following the run up to the primaries particularly closely, but his policies seem pretty darn sensible at a glance—from my pinko European perspective, anyway.
He hardly seems like a whackjob on the Kucinich scale.
At least he is a neo-confederate racist who doesn’t believe in the separation of church and state, would dismantle the federal government, and is loved by spammers that would withdraw combat troops from Iraq.
I mean jeez Jeff, does everything have to go your way?
Rob: There’s not anything specific and I wasn’t being that serious. Gravel has no support (which is why he wasn’t at the last debate) and uses the debates essentially as a means to spout off to a large audience. It’s amusing and somewhat embarrassing that we have a guy who no one’s heard of in 30 years and isn’t a serious candidate alongside everyone else.
Colby: It is kinda funny when liberals talk approvingly of Paul because he wants to withdraw from Iraq. They don’t agree with him on almost every other issue and he doesn’t even really want to withdraw for the same reasons as liberals do. At times I wish he’d get the nomination just because of how bizarre it’d be. Then I decide I shouldn’t be that cynical and hope the least insane Republican gets nominated (I’m not sure who that is, though).
Four names united cause fear, blackout, & smear. Web 2.0
That doesn’t even make sense.
colbert gravel kucinich paul nader carter [conyers?] united for truth elicit fear smear blacklist.
honesty compassion intelligence guts…
- Is this better Jeff?
I don’t find strings of adjectives all that compelling.
How exactly a moderately liberal satirist, an unknown left-wing politician, a New Age whack job, a right wing extremist, a delusional consumer advocate, and a former president are united is beyond me. So is how they can all be telling us the truth, even though they have wildly divergent views.
I suppose you don’t really have any political opinions beyond believing the truth is being suppressed in mainstream discourse and anyone advocating something different must be correct. Not a recipe for coherency, as you’re demonstrating.
- I will be GLAD to refine:
Gravel kucinich paul nader perot carter [conyers?rangel?] united for truth elicit fear smear blacklist.
