Ahh, idiots
Published by Jeff, May 13th, 2008 in Blogging, MontanaThis is brilliant. Andy and company are defending “Operation Chaos” as being open and honest. Open and honest about your dishonesty. Wonders never cease, do they? It’s vanishingly unlikely this whole thing will accomplish anything more than giving Andy his 15 minutes of fame, so all we’re left with is what it says about some Republicans’ respect for the process. Happily, other Republicans have condemned this stunt.
The Hammond Report has always been somewhat unique. We have intelligent conservative bloggers here in Montana. We also have some fairly dumb ones. Same goes for the liberal side. However, Andy’s commentary is unique; the depth and consistency of the stupidity is overwhelming. It has the worst of global warming denialism, abstinence-only idiocy, and the most shallow understanding of Democrats and liberals I’ve seen.
Yes, this post doesn’t have anything more substantive than me calling someone an idiot. But that’s what blogs are for, right?

Ahhh, Professor Chaos and his band of merry fools.
here, i fixed that for you
Well sure, and he admits it everyday, saying that Liberals present a set of ideas that is ‘dangerous’ to America (at least in his mind).
Don’t know Andy so no comment there. But Global Warming Denialism? If there ever was a topic that proves the idiocy of liberals its “Global Warming” (I realize you are from Montana, but if you are going to be on the idiots band wagon you might as well keep up, they no longer call it global warming, it’s now “Climate Change”).
They have done this, because smart people who have done there homework have looked at the so called evidence and realized that first and foremost its BS, but moreso over the last hundred years the media has gone from “the coming Ice Age” to “global warming” back to to an “ice age” in the 1970’s and now again to “Global Whining” I mean warming.
Climate change covers it all, its also so very appropriate for liberals - finding a way to be consistant about their inconsistancy…
So show us how smart you are and explain why they “Have it right” this time? In fact expalin why if they are so sure they have it right they have started to call it Climate Change instead of global warming.
Since you smaties have obviously just drank the koolaid and have not actually done any homework let me tell you one highlight of climate change wisdom. Back in the 70’s the libs were so afraid of the foreth coming ice age that one serious idea on how to combat it was too cover the arctic regions with dark top soil so that the sun could heat and thereby melt the ice. Yes the same ice that Algore is worried about melting now… What a genious he is…
So forgive me if we have DEEP FEARS of Democrats, but they almost never do their homework and when they do its social studies, not math or science.
Technically, it’s anthropogenic climate change. On the other hand, you know what I meant and I don’t really care.
Who’s “they?” I have no interest in the defending the media. Presumably, since you seem insistent that liberals don’t “do their homework,” you’ve done yours and know that the scientific establishment didn’t come to a consensus that there was any sort of global cooling. The NAS said there was some evidence and further research was needed. Which is what happened and now the consensus of the scientific establishment is that the Earth is warming due to the activities of humans. Why you insist that I have to explain why the media is correct now is a bit confusing. It seems to me that there’s good scientific evidence, going by the consensus and what I, as a layman, have been able to research. I think the burden is on you to come up with a compelling reason to justify throwing out the consensus of climate scientists who know a hell of a lot more about this than you do.
You talk about doing your homework, well, put up or shut up. Give me some well thought out reasons to reject anthropogenic climate change. I guarantee you’ll spout the same tired conservative talking points that anyone who has 5 minutes and can use Google can find a response to.
Also, your big gotcha is people started calling it something different? Seriously?
So, why should I care about this, again? I’m not particularly interested in what some “liberals” did in the 70s.
You’d think someone who apparently forgot to do his typing homework would cut us some slack.
