Hey Bozeman residents
Published by Jeff, August 17th, 2008 in Montana, PersonalI have two items:
1. Good ISPs in town? Currently, my DSL is controlled and administered by a company hired by the owners of my apartment complex. This means I have less control that I want to have (and it’s slower than I want), so I’m thinking I’m going to go off an get my own. Suggestions? I don’t really want Bresnan and I’ve been looking at Bridgeband.
2. Roy Zimmerman is playing at the Labor Temple this Wednesday. If you don’t know who he is, well, watch this:
See, clearly you need to go see him. I believe it’s $15 and benefits the Montana Women’s Lobby.

I’ve used two ISP’s since moving here in 2001 - Global Net and Qwest. Global Net’s service was shaky, often going out on me on Friday afternoon (they don’t provide service on weekends), and I was limited to 3 gigs of service - not an issue until I decided I wanted to watch baseball games on the computer. Their service was poor,, the staff unresponsive (even passive aggressive). I was even told one time as I waited for service to be restored that they had big customers they had to take care of. One time when my service was out for more than five days, they owed me a credit on my bill by the terms of our contract. They changed the date of the service order to avoid having to credit me. They are that sneaky.
I’m going to be suing them in small claims court over a document they claim was a one-year extension of our contract that expired in May. They baited and switched. I may not win, but I urge everyone everywhere to avoid this ethically challenged company.
west has been great - speed, faster uploads, no limits on amount of service provided, no service glitches, 24-7 service. I highly recommend them.
Yeah like I would listen to this guy. Can’t pay his bills and steals equipment. Worked at Global Net. This guy was one of the worst people on the the planet.
